(tumbador [tumbador] < Spanish tumbar, from the imitative ¡tumb! 'to knock down or throw down' and -dor, an agentive suffix)
   A cowboy whose job it is to rope and throw calves so that they can be branded. Simon and Schuster's International Dictionary references the related term tumbadero as a branding yard or pen in Venezuela. Tumbador, however, is not referenced in Spanish sources.
